Hanuman Chalisa is a deep powerful hymn of devotion composed by Saint Tulsidas in the 16th century, while he was imprisoned. The hymn is a praise to Lord Hanuman, the ever-devoted follower of Lord Ram. It is composed of 40 verses in the Awadhi language, a regional Hindi dialect.
